Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 August 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and Acorn's waitlist. Acorn ("we", "us", "our") is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. By joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms.

What the waitlist is

This site lets you register interest in early access to the Acorn dating app, which is currently in development and has not yet launched. Joining the waitlist is not a guarantee of access, a specific launch date, or any particular position — including positions adjusted by the referral system, which is a promotional feature we may change or discontinue at any time.

Eligibility

Acorn is intended for adults. By joining the waitlist, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

The referral system

Sharing your personal referral link may move you up the displayed waitlist position. We reserve the right to remove referrals, adjust positions, or disable this feature if we reasonably suspect abuse (such as fake sign-ups or automated submissions).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

No warranty

This website and the waitlist are provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep the site accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Acorn (the app) will launch on any particular timeline, or at all.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Acorn is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or participation in the waitlist. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything which cannot legally be limited or excluded, such as fraud.

Intellectual property

The Acorn name, logo, and site content belong to us and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Acorn develops. Continued use of the waitlist after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to us (contact details to follow once available). See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
